As Italy’s largest manufacturer of automobiles, Fiat has a long history that extends back to 1899. In fact, Fiat luxury cars first appeared in America in 1909, but the company’s product was plagued from the start with unreliability issues. Ultimately, the problems grew to such an extent that Fiat left the U.S. market in the early 1980s. This reputation, however, has been shed, and Fiat has enjoyed a massive comeback in the market. This includes Fiat now holding a 20% stake in Chrysler.
Fiat’s partnership with Chrysler brought the brand back to America after a quarter-century absence. Today, the Fiat 500, Panda, Punto, Bravo, 500L, Sedici, and Freemont have all proven to be popular among used Fiat vehicles for sale and as Fiat salvage vehicles.
